The start of my problem was when my Yanmar YSM8 would run for a few minutes and quit.
I removed the tank and purged it tested after at home and it siponed very well.
Removed the oil water separater and cleaned it ,installed a new filter, hooked it to the tank.
Removed the air from the system through to the injector.Started the engine,it quit in 10 min.
Purchased a new fuel pump and installed it,removed the air again, the engine quit again.
At this point a new thought,I checked the air supply to the tank, removed it and found that
I could not blow through it,I believe that is full of spider stuff as the vent is on the transom.
I cut the tube it off at the tank so it could draw air in as the fuel is used and not cause a vacuum.
Started the engine,it ran for 30 minutes, shut it off and ran it for again for 30 miutes.
Will replace the plastic tube out to the transom some time ,soon???
Would you believe this was the cause of the problem to begin with.  %&#t
