I put one on my saildrive, 2 yrs later , it was almost gone... pitting on the unit has totally stopped.

I have one on the saildrive, but nothing protecting the keel directly.

buddy at the club uses them on his douglass 32...... just thinking.. .ground wires does run to the keel bolts...... food for thought..

Had one on the inboard shaft that got regularly eaten but that was for the prop. Never had any real severe rusting problem except in the slot after too many years of not hauling her out and redoing it!  That's my fault not the irons!  LOL
